Trevor is more of a background character and friend of Sonic's but he has a lot more of a major part in Sonia's Choice and Bartleby the Prisoner where he is seen taking an active part for the Resistances. In Harmony Or Something, he was caught by Robotnik and was being made to talk But Sonic and the group Freed him, In Tangled Webs, he was at the Resistances base and was getting ready to go to Sanctuary.
