Born the youngest of 3 triples to Queen Aleena. When they were young, the Queen found out that Robotnik would take control and feared for the safety of her Children. She have to give up the kids and wait for the right time to beat Robotnik. Manic was meant to be given to one family but was take by a Thief. He was then raised on the Streets and learnt a number of ways to steal and pick locks. After meting up with Sonic and Sonia, he found his Adopted Father had been Robotised and he joined the Freedom Fighters Sound Clips-
Manic- "Hey! We could sell this stuff to a Crocked antique dealer I know and make a bundle for the resistance!"Bio-Analysis of Character-
Manic doesn't appear to change too much over the span of the Show but he does have small character changes. At first, we are introduced to this thief that has been raised by Thieves in a time when the rich have a lot and what they don't have is held by an evil dictator. This is a perfect and old set-up for a 'good guy thief'. Sonia, how is from a rich life, doesn't fully understand and at first is a bit iffy with the fact he is a thief, where as the more down to earth 'freedom fighter', Sonic is knows about it but doesn't like it, though has shown he knows when it needs to be done. At first, Manic is shown to take anything that catches his eye and he believes can make a few pounds at a pawn shop. He is not in it for the money for himself, his raising has been to get money and stuff for the 'group' to live and in the resistance, he gets the money for them. During the show, Sonic and Sonia have tried to show him that there is a time and a place to steal yet he has still let his thief ways get himself and the others into trouble (see both 'Artefact' and 'Sonia's Choice'). What is odd is that the Character of Manic appears to be the weakest in terms of 'powers'. When taken to the other world in 'When In Rome', they all 'lose' there powers and Medallions. Sonic can no longer run fast, Sonia can't spin, Manic, however, still can pick locks, he is just a bit slower at it, or at lest appears slower. These seams to hint that the Natural Power for Manic, isn't Lock Picking but probably the ability to learn that skill. The ability of quick learning would also lend itself to his skills with machines ('The Price of Freedom', 'The Pendant') and even languages ('Head Games'). While this is shown in small hints where the others have been openly stated, shows that it was probably not planned.
Notes Relating to the Character-
* While there is no Official Statement on it, it does appear that Manic was the Third born.* Some people have tried to say that If Queen Aleena had a favourite among her children, it was NOT Manic since he was left with the 'Poor' family and other such things. This however doesn't appear to be the case and a number of hints seams to say he is in fact the favourite of the three. These hints can also be used to prove that Manic is the youngest of the three.
