Bio-
Nothing is known about Sonic's parent's or very early days, but the earlist we know is when Sonic was 5. It appears that Sonic was living with his Uncle Chuck (Sir Charles Hedgehog) and was often to be found playing with Princess Sally Acorn. When Sonic wasn't playing around with Sally, he could often be found at the local chilly Dog stand. While they were not allowed to play around Uncle chucks lab, it seams they did a few times. He was regularly taken care of by the nanny 'Rosie', who's play group included the Young Bunnie, Antoine & Rotor as well as Sally and Sonic. When the future Sonic and Sally (using the names of Juice and Alicia) came back to warn Uncle Chuck and the king about Robotnik, Sonic and friends were put into the care of Rosie, but some how escaped and went to investigate what was going on at the palace. This lead to them being captured and witnessing Uncle chuck being Robotised, and only just about escaping the fate themselves. Rosie then took the kids to Knothole so they would be safe from Robotnik. In the 'Original' time line, Rosie left Knothole a few weeks later and was captured and Robotised, where as it seams, due to the actions of the future Sally, Rosie never left Knothole in the current time-line and was still at knothole in the present day. Though Sonic is officially classed as the leader of the freedom Fighters by Sally herself, by the age of 10, Sonic was going on solo missions to Robotroplis without permission. Now at the age of 16, Sonic appears to have learnt to play the guitar and enjoys fishing in the local stream, as well as being an active member of the Knothole Freedom Fighters.

Bio-Analysis of Character-

Sonic is shown as being fairly true to form as normal in this show but some changes have been made to allow for the team set-up to work. While in the games, Sonic was able to cope pretty well on his own and work stuff out, Sonic is shown as being a bit dumber in this show, to allow for Sally being the smart one. Sonic is far from Stupid, but they have played up the point of his speed making him a little headstrong and more likely to act first before thinking things out. Most other changes to the character are based on what's going around at the time anyway, like Sonic's like for Chilly Dogs, his 'cool dude' talk etc. Many of these factors were partly taken from the game but partly made up by the media adverts and such like (His like for Chilly Dogs has often been said to come from Casino Night in Sonic 2). Like most times, Sonic isn't given parents but he is given a Family Member in Uncle Chuck and this leads to the more Japanese storyline of Sonic being born the way he is, more then the Western storyline of him 'becoming' blue and streamlined. Sonic relationship with his uncle isn't shown too much really, and no comments are made about any other family. He is also shown a little different from the games in the of a love intrest in Princess Sally Acorn. The only game to feature a Female that could be a love interest, was Sonic CD (at the time) and that was more downplaying his interest in her to the point where they were either only friends or he found her annoying because she loved him. But in SatAM, we have him going after Sally, not just having her fancy him. This seams to lead up to and end with the Kiss at the End of the show. Like with most western stuff, Sonic is very much interested in the fuss made of him as a hero but is more interested in being the Hero and battling with Robotnik.
Notes Relating to the Character-
* Early/Other name for Sonic was 'Sonic the Hedgehog'
* Early Drafts had Sonic being 15, one year older then Sally.
* While this is unofficial, an early draft for the episode 'The Void' has it set on Sonic's Birthday
* In the pilot Episode 'Heads or Tails', Sonic has a Dog 'muttski' and carries a photo of him and Uncle Chuck. However, this episode is not cannon and it seams that Muttski isn't around in the series proper.
* Sonic's real age is hinted at being 16, as he appears to be the same age as Sally.
* when Sonic states his height, he says it as part of a joke. While the joke doesn't require the height be correct or wrong, it appears to be fairly correct, and can be taken as Sonic's real height.
