Grimer is Robotnik's Head Scientist and seams to be behind a lot of Robotnik's inventions. He has always been Loyal to him and even seamed to look up to him. This is mostly shown when Robotnik is depressed from being beaten by Sonic even though he had ultimate Power. Grimer released the creature 'Chaos' to try and cheer him up. In the End, it appeared to have worked.
