Based on Mixing the Marx Brothers with the Mario Brothers, the Marxio Brothers (Harpio, Grouchio, Chicio) first appeared working for Robotnik and in charge of the Casino Night Zone. After Sonic beat them there, they came back in charge of the Carnival Night Zone in which they tried to do away with Knuckles while pretending they were wanting to work with him. After they were defeated there, the next time there were seen, they had bought Chemical Plant Zone and were claiming to be good and cleaning it up.
