The Shadow world is a dimension full of shadow creatures that wanted to Rule Mobuis. To his end, Shayde came though and changed into Johnny Lightfoot. For a long time he was not only a mole in Sonic's gang but was fooling Robotnik into thinking he was a traitor 'Agent X'. In the end, Sonic was sent to the Shadow world were he destroyed the Black Emerald and stopped there plans as well as destroying all the shadows.
