For a long, the wasps have been at war with the bees and Vesper is the leader of the Wasps. After the Queen Bee gets her Son, Prince Charmy to return to the Hive (along with Sonic) they are caught off guard and the Wasps attacked the Hive. Thanks to Sonic, they were beaten and Sonic used his '1 Wish' to allow Charmy to return to the Chaotix crew.
